We support biologically diverse landscapes and specialize in garden designs that are beautiful, sustainable, and wildlife-friendly.
We use plants that are native to New Jersey and curate garden spaces for private homes and open public spaces. Every yard and open space, no matter its size, can be a pollinator haven, full of native plants that are easy to take care of and beneficial to the environment in so many ways.
Our vision
We live in Jersey City, NJ which is the second largest city in the state of New Jersey. The closest nursery that sells native plants is forty-five minutes away by car. We strive to make native plants accessible to people who want them through pop up plant sales and our unique delivery service. We work closely with growers across the state who deal with straight native species and do not use pesticides or harsh chemicals.
What is a native plant?
Native plants are plants that naturally occur in a particular region and have evolved and adapted over time to the local climate, soil, and other environmental conditions. They play a crucial role in maintaining ecological balance and providing food and habitat for native wildlife.
Because New Jersey’s native plants have adapted to the soil and weather here, they thrive without the use of supplemental watering, and are naturally more resistant to heat, cold, and pests. Native plants tend to have long roots which extend deep into the ground, which helps these plants assist in managing rain water runoff and maintaining healthy soil.
